I must be about my fathers business

pure-09016
42 And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.
43 When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it;
44 but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances.
45 So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.
46 Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
47 And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
48 So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”
49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Dilapidated

My theme for my photo series was dilapidated houses. I choose this theme for many different reasons. One was because they are just plain beautiful. A lot of people would see them as ugly, old houses that need to be burnt down, But honestly, they are just plain beautiful. To see the earth overtake a house or a barn is one of the most gorgeous things in the world. Even the tagging on one of the houses that I took was just another step of being overtaken by the earth. Another reason that I decided to do this project was because of appreciation. These houses make me realize how good I have it. When I was looking through the houses (how brave of me, I know) I could tell that somebody, either now or at one time, had lived in those abandoned houses. This makes me appreciate all that I have so much more. It shows me that my house is NOT the world. I have my problems at home, but at least I have a someplace I can call home. Not just a house of someone that had lived there before. I think it is crazy to not appreciate what you have when you have something so good. The people that live in houses like these have probably given up all hope in ever having a future, and when you give up, you’re NEVER going to get your dreams or even close to them. Maybe people don’t notice it too much, but the world doesn’t revolve around you, and no matter how famous someone is or how cool you think you are, you really aren’t anything special. When it comes down to it, we are all just humans and there is nothing anyone can do to change it. So weather you live in a huge mansion in Beverly Hills or a small abandoned house in battle ground, we are all humans. Maybe it’s luck, or maybe its decisions, but I think it’s not fair in some cases and this is a major problem. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to have a bright future and keep my hopes high, no matter where I’m living.
